Just to start out with....manners and being polite works wonders. (how you call into the forest is how the echo returns.)

"In life loved and honoured
in death remembered"

Please use the "SUGGEST EDIT" button for suggesting edits, it makes it easier to process the edits. (the email is for out of the coffin communication)

PLEASE put Burial Coordinates on graves when possible..... its called Find a Grave.

I live in Fife Scotland and take a lot of photos of local graves as well as hard to reach or read graves. I am a descendant of the Clan Sutherland, so Scottish history is very important to me to preserve and pass on to future generations.

I am a Veteran, nightmares should be forgotten but not the fallen.

Its also nice if you do use photos, let me know....its that wee reward to know I helped someone.
(you are welcome to use my photos, I hope they helped)

I run a Facebook group called : Find a Grave Volunteers UK
I am also on twitter: TracyLeeCook1
would be nice to have some fellow volunteers to connect with.

If you can help others please do.
"
One of the romping children tells Nell that it
was not a grave at all, but 'a garden – his brother's. It is greener, he says,
than all the other gardens"

I thought you might like this.... my fellow Taphophilian.
" Here will love its last attentions pay,
And place memorials on these beds of clay ;
Large level stones lie flat upon the grave,
And half a century's sun and tempest brave.
But many an honest tear and heartfelt sigh
Have followed those who now unnoticed lie ;
Of these what numbers rest on every side,
Without one token left by grief or pride !
Their graves soon levelled to the earth, and then
Will other hillocks rise to other men.
Daily the dead on the decayed are thrust,
And generations follow dust to dust."
CRABBK.

"The long flat stones,
With nettles skirted and with moss o'ergrown,
That tell in homely phrase who lie below."
BLAIR'S "GRAVE."
