Bio

I'm assuming the role of assistant family genealogist to my dad, who has been at this for a whole lot longer than I.

Our earliest Dunn ancestor is James Dunn (Memorial 50641810), though DNA takes us back to Lanark, Scotland, through his line. Our lineage through his son, Samuel, takes our Dunn family to Mount Comfort, Indiana, which is a little township east of Indianapolis.

Our Dunns there married into the following families: Harvey (origin SC), Eastes, Wilson, Whitaker (from England to Pennsylvania to North Carolina to Batavia, Ohio), Dimmit, Jackson, Stokes and Sinclair.

My maternal proven lines have taken our ancestry back to the Mayflower (we are descendants through Joan Hurst Tilley). Both sides of my family have a history of men who fought in the revolutionary war. All of the research I do is to expand those lines.
