Bio

I've always had a passing interest in genealogy, my mother kept up with her 'people'. I got serious about it in 1994 and remain so. I believe that you never know anyone's complete story until you know what finally became of them,. This brought me to spend countless hours finding and cataloging cemeteries, mostly in southeast KY. Finding their grave is often the only way of knowing a persons birth date, death date and sometimes their spouse.I did most of this work before digital cameras became commonplace and I could not afford the high cost of film and developing to take endless photos of tombstones, consequently I don't have a lot of photos.
I have created a few, perhaps a dozen, Find-a-grave memorials using the 'Not buried in a cemetery/ burial details unknown' option. I almost always have a pretty good idea where those people are buried, but can't prove it. No one is likely to ever know for sure. I try my best to avoid that option. I only do it when I know where several of that person's descendants are buried. I think it would be a shame if they were not linked to their greater family.
