Bio

Retired military career officer. Have been researching family trees since July 1994 when I deployed to Ogden, UT for a week. Returned home and began 24/7 search for living and deceased family relatives. Found 4 new cousins on paternal Great Grandfather's side which grew to 42 other new cousins on Email network of exchanging found information, sharing with direct or lateral connections to Progenitor Thomas Gaw/Nancy Hood of Greenville Co. SC.
Thomas was born Greenville Co SC on 3 Sept 1777- d bet Oct-Nov 1867 Jackson Co TN. His wife Nancy was also from Greenville Co SC b 1782 and died May 1839 in Jackson Co. TN.
Have been amazed to find Intermarriages of two or more siblings marrying next door neighbor siblings and have 4 marriages for 3 Gaw brothers to 3 Rutledge Sisters & 1 Rutledge Brother married 1 of 5 Gaw sisters. Both families had 11 children.
The best secret to finding family history information is TO BUILD A NETWORK WITH FAMILY MEMBERS & other researchers looking for same surname or allied connections and TALK TO OLDEST LIVING FAMILY MEMBERS TO FIND NAMES OF THEIR GRANDPARENTS, GREAT GRANDPARENTS, COUSINS, AUNTS/UNCLES AND IN-LAWS!
