I've been nibbling away at my father's genealogy for years. They came to Michigan from Ontario and Quebec between 1878 and 1902. Most originated in England, Ireland, Scotland and probably France. So these are the places I focus on. Names such as Christie, Jamieson, Morrison, Munns, McDonald, McPherson, Graham, Frazer, Lawless, Synk, Larkin, Myler, Hyde, Turner, Burrows, etc. Photo to come later. Currently I am the custodian of the memorials for all of my grandparents, three of whom I am trying to manage their family legacy on this site and to honor them in whatever way possible. Any suggestions or corrections are welcome, especially from fellow family. The three grandparents whom I am memorializing and documenting the ancestry of are:
Orville Oliver Christie (1913-1996), Lottie Elizabeth (Lawless) Christie (1914-2005), and Eleanor Isabell (Atkinson) Modine (1913-2000). My fourth grandparent, my maternal grandfather John Eugene "Gene" Wygaard (1908-1983), that of his parents and their extensive family history is managed by my mother's cousin, who has done a very fine job of documenting that family's history.
