Hello Fellow Genealogists:

I have been doing research on my family since I was 7 years old, some 55 years. I started out as the "little picture with big ears" sitting at the dining room table as Gramma's picture box was taken out to aid reminisces of past experiences between Washington family and visiting Wisconsin family.

On my father's side the surnames starting with my grandparents are: Gundy and Bausch-Wells, then paternal gg parents, Gundy, LeRette, and Bausch, Freeman, then paternal ggg parents, Gundy, Lintner, and LeRette, DeLisle, and, Bausch, Jung, and, Freeman, Cooper.

On my mother's side the surnames starting with my grandparents are: Higgs and McKendry, then maternal gg parents, Higgs, Jenkins-Loomis, and McKendry, Padgett, the maternal ggg parents, Higgs, Harris, and Jenkins, Walters, and McKendry, Cline, and Padgett, Bolin.

My Ancestry tree, "Higgs McKendry Family Tree" has nearly 11,500 individuals at present. My sister-in-law is related to the Kings and queens of England, and therefore to other heads of state of various countries in Europe. It is rumored through family lore that my ancestors, in-laws or out-laws, or cousins of cousins that we are related to such notables as Kaiser Wilhelm I, the Harrison presidents, the "Great Statesman" Henry Clay, etc. Most all are yet to be proven. That is another reason genealogy is so much fun.
