My mother died in September 2009 and while driving from San Antonio, Texas to Staunton, Virginia to deliver her possessions to my only living sister I decided I would like to live in the beautiful green State of Virginia. I only had knowledge of my father’s grandfather and his father who had graduated from Washington College (1870) and Washington and Lee University (1904) and become Presbyterian ministers. I began looking for other members of my family and almost six years later, Nov. 2015, my sister and I have found members as far back as 10 generations and several 7th great grandparents.
