I grew up in South Yonkers NY, Near the Bronx City line. My family history Berrien's/Emery's begins in this region. At one time the Bronx/Riverdale was part of Westchester and called Yankee Town and/or West Farm. I am missing some pieces to Connect Nick Berrien b.1807, buried in St Johns in Yonkers to, Samuel Berrien, buried in VanCortlandt Park. My grandfather Said was a relative. And his family and the Emery family owned a lot of property. My Grandfather walked me all over the neighbor hoods and told me stories about the ancestors and homes he remembered. I was only 10 years old at the time, so I don't recall much of it.
