I love all things historic and am somewhat of an archeology buff. I also quilt and do lots of different kinds of sewing and working puzzles. When thinking about all of these seemingly different hobbies, one thing connects them all, and that is that each involves figuring out small pieces and finding a place for each part. Genealogy is also that way. We put pieces and facets of our family back together from what we can find from the past. I love learning about my own family and love being able to help someone else also learn about theirs as well. It has been said that to know our ancestors is to know ourselves better, and I am in full agreement with that.
