I have been interested in my family's genealogy and history since a sophomore year college course in 1999, where I was required to write a paper of my little-known (to me) family history. In the course of that project, I met the brother of my great-"Nana" Vivienne for the fist time --- my great-great uncle Burton Adkinson. Through my interview with him and additional research, including learning a great deal about the Martin side several years later (starting in 2002 and 2003), I have developed a keen interest in genealogy and family history.
