Bio

I'm pulling together info for the families of Modlin/Maudlin, Sanders, & Dicke.
My family ties are in the areas of Western Kansas, Western Oklahoma, & Northeast Nebraska.
I consider myself VERY lucky to have found the connection of the Modlin's of Western Kansas and the Maudlin's of Indiana. And thanks to the Quaker's record keeping the Maudlin's of Indiana ties goes all the way back to North Carolina.
Sanders of Western Oklahoma appears to have ties back to Kentucky. But, that connection seems to hit a Stonewall there. It doesn't help much when several individuals have (what I believe) connected Alkana Sanders with the WRONG family, that being Dr. John Henry Sanders. The 1850 Census with Alkany in the household of Henry (no indication of a John) Sanders is a different part of Kentucky than Dr. John Henry Sanders has ties.
