Bio

I became a member of Find A Grave in May 2016. I've been working on my genealogy for years, and stumbled on this site by accident. It's a gold mine of information!

My great-aunts were the five Walker sisters of Little Greenbrier Cove who fought the government for their land when the Great Smoky Mountain National Park was created. The Little Greenbrier Schoolhouse was built by my great-grandfather, "Hairy" John N. Walker and my grandfather, James Thomas Walker.

On my mom's side, she was the daughter of Paris Leo Burkhart and his first wife, Lena Roberts Burkhart, who died on my mom's second birthday.

I'm a mother of three grown children, a grandmother of six children, and I raise cats and chickens. I live in Knoxville, Tennessee, where I was born. My parents were Harold R. Walker and Ramona F. Burkhart Walker of Knoxville, TN. I'm divorced, and work as an assistant coding manager for a national medical coding company.
