I am 73 years old and have been collecting and sharing family history for over 40 years.

I attend historic St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.

Right beside our church is our St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Cemetery with many headstones dating from the early 1800's. There are exactly 278 headstones in this cemetery, representing 394 individuals.

Find a Grave memorials have been created for all of these 394 individuals. In addition, each one of these 394 memorials has a headstone photo and GPS coordinates.

Several years ago I asked the church pastor for permission to clean these headstones. Over the past two summers I have been doing just that! As of December 2022, all of the headstones have been cleaned.

As of October 2022 I became interested in the headstones at St. Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery, 32 Idylewylde Street, Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada. One headstone belongs to Captain Benjamin Rooth (1787-1849) located at burial plot #065. It has an elephant carved on it!

Soon after cleaning Captain Rooth's headstone (with the church's permission) I decided to begin the task of creating Find a Grave memorials, complete with headstone photos, for all of the individuals names on the headstones at St. Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery.

There are slightly less than 900 headstones at St. Paul's.

I could be at this for a while.

UPDATE: 19 May 2023.

I am pleased to report that, as of 19 May 2023, Find a Grave Memorials have been created for ALL 1655 individuals listed as either buried or interred at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Fort Erie, Ontario. 100% photographed!

Cleaning of individual headstones is also in progress.

Latitude and Longitude values will be added to many of the headstones at St. Paul's Anglican Church during 2024 using the Find a Grave Mobile App.-iOS.
