Bio

I am the volunteer Cemetery Caretaker for Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery #2312179. And also for Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery #2451504. That's just a fancy way to say I have permission to be in the cemetery to clean, maintain, and repair anyone's Gravestone that needs me to. I don't cut the grass or answer to anything important, I just think everyone deserves to have a clean and well maintained gravesite.
I have a special place in my heart for graves over 100 years old. I love the Marble stones and the epitaphs, wonderfully carved and worthy of being admired by all. That's why I try to keep their graves presentable.
Everyone deserves to be remembered and cherished. I do my best to respect and honor every memorial under my care.

I like to visit cemeteries and photograph gravestones, and try to connect peoples families together on Find-a-grave. If I make a mistake, Know it was an honest one. Please be kind and send me a correction. I will fix it promptly!

If you would like a memorial transferred to you, Just ask!

If you ever see me in the cemetery looking lost or deep in thought...Just remember I'm awaiting my home in Heaven one day and hope to be remembered in a graveyard with my Family. And If you come across my gravestone, please brush away the leaves, pull some weeds, but most of all say a prayer that someone will care for my grave the way I cared for others.

No one seems to care much about my fascination with cemeteries and Genealogy. I'm all alone with my thoughts. Maybe that's why I like cemeteries, I get to be alone. I hope my family will one day find the work I have done. To keep my family history alive, and think about how they can expand my explorations and make it greater than i could ever have imagined.

I am amazed everyday how we all are related to one another. I'm related to 3/4 of the people in my childhood churches cemetery. Wow. All thanks to find-a-grave and a little help from Ancestry.

I welcome all edits, especially if they are ancestors. Death certificates, marriage records, Obituaries and pictures are always welcomed on memorials. Thank You!

P.S. If Susan P. is reading this....Thank You! You mean a lot to me , I really appreciate the help and work you have done!
