Find a Grave ID

Bio

My current goal on Find A Grave is to link relatives to each other so there is a public family tree. I will also add pictures and other documentation, as available.

Genealogist level: beginner. I completed a dna test through 23andme in January 2017, and then started to search for family that tied to my 100% European ancestry results. I soon began using Find A Grave and other websites for genealogy research. My current focus is on direct paternal lines. Of course, I can only validate so far back before depending on the accuracy of other's research!

More recent surnames on my mother's side are Jordan, Farmer, Page, Craig, and Hoffhines. I've found lineage to Germany (Cheeseman back to 1825, Hoffhine(s)/Hofheintz back to 1594, Good/Guth back to 1635, Bear back to 1700, Stoneburner/Steinbrenner back to 1539), and Scotland (Craig back to 1716, McGhee/MacGregor back to 533 AD, Lackey back to 1045).

More recent surnames on my father's side are Powell, Trent, Cole, Smith, Isaacs, and Lainhart. I've found lineage to England (Powell's back to 1557, Isaacs back to 1650, Pratt, Love/Lane back to 1626, Hubbard back to 1535, Scarfe back to 1640, Allen back to 1474, Rose possibly back to 130 BC), Germany (Lainhart back to 1650), Scotland (Isaake back to 1865), and a combination of Irish, Scottish, English, and Swedish Johnson's dating back to 792 AD. I've had no luck finding the birth father of William Larkin Kerby/Kirby (1882-1948) to research this line. If anyone has information, I'd love to hear from you!
