Bio

I've researched Broy, Fisher, Oliver, Taylor, Wilson and closely related families in Pope, Pulaski and Johnson Counties in Illinois with some information going back to Virginia, North and South Carolina and Alabama. I've written a history book about these families and titled it "Their Paths Prepared Our Way". The second edition contains 740 pages and is available on LULU .com if you are interested in the above families. A copy was donated to the public library in Golconda, Illinois, the Vienna. Illinois public library, and to the genealogy society at the West Frankfort Public Library. It can be used at those locations for free. For anyone that wants their own copy, it is priced without intent to make a profit or to recover costs of researching. It would be hard to gain a profit or recover expenses after traveling and researching for more than 25 years. This book is probably of little value and not worth the cost to anyone unless researching the above mentioned families.
I also donated a family tree drawing to the genealogy society at the Vienna Public Library. It has hundreds of names with birth and death dates. I have not confirmed that they kept what I gave them.
Photos I post here or anywhere else are those that I took, that I have permission to post, or that are in the public domain. I am very careful not to violate copyright laws or not to assume credit for the work of others. Under most photos I show a permission to download for personal use without your asking me.
I'm willing to help others and often give information away that I've spent countless time and resources to obtain, but I expect the copyright of an author's material to be properly treated.
