I grew up not knowing much about my ancestors or where I come from genealogy-wise. Once I started to research my family on ancestry.com along with info pulled from fold3.com and newspapers.com, I was able to find out a lot about our history and stories that somehow got lost as the years went by without anything much being passed down.

Being detailed-oriented with a mild case of OCD (my personal diagnosis), I have been able to catch duplicate info or where some mispelling of names have caused some to question as to validity of their ancestry linkage. I am by no means an expert, but I continue to learn and I still get excited when another piece of the puzzle gets discovered. Thus is the best part for me.
