I began my family search about 21 years ago, and it has become my passion. I should have been a detective! I have learned many things along the way about "discovering roots" and how to do it. I have suffered the frustrations that I know many others have suffered - the spellings and misspellings, the seeming dead ends.
The search for my mother's birth family was my main focus for many years. DNA matches have helped with that a lot. Now I'm trying to fill in the blanks with the women in my tree that do not have readily known surnames.
