I have been working on genealogy for about 40 years. Both my Dad and me were military so we moved a lot. I was using genealogy for years to be able to identify relatives that I rarely saw. I am now retired and working on it more. I have used GEDCOM, PAF, Reunion for windows, Generations, FTM (multiple versions). I now use FTM 2014 and Ancestry online. I am working more to scan and save electronically (and backups). I am a Hurricane Katrina survivor, however some of my research did not survive.
