It is my sole desire as a Find-A-Grave Contributor to respect the dignity of the deceased by uniting together loved ones who have been separated over the forgotten generations. I hope to maintain the historical significance that Find-A-Grave represents.

The Pain family originated from Normandy, France and migrated to the United States through Quebec, Canada. The children of Damase and Marie Flavie Messier Pain were 1st generation Americans and their children and grandchildren were 2nd & 3rd generation Americans. The Pain's were French Canadian immigrants that left Montreal, Quebec, Canada and came to Fall River, Bristol Co., MA in the late 1800's in hopes of finding a prosperous new life in America. Below is a two-part video that talks about the French Canadian immigrants that left Montreal, Canada to come to the US and the challenges they faced after having arrived in the States.
