Families : Grigg, Elam , Lile, Morris, Stebleton & all of those in between.
My most touching moment was when I received my first long distance phone call. A wonderful woman who also was tracing the Grigg line wanted to meet to share family information. There was a long silence when I said I don't drive myself, I am only 12.
We were able to meet a few years later & became close through the years & she was very inspirational to me.
Yes, people thought that it was odd that I preferred writing down headstone inscriptions, hours in the libraries, etc. rather than the "normal" young teenage activities.
Thankfully, with Mom, Dad and older brothers & sisters I had a ride to the cemeteries.
Sadly, all of those years of records & information were lost in a cross country move. I have recently began the research again.
I must truly admit that it is much easier with the internet than it was all of those years ago.
