Bio

I have been doing genealogy off and on for about 20 years. I have always been interested in my ancestors and their life stories. I was able to meet and correspond with many of my great aunts and uncles. It was easier to get them talking than to get my parents talking!

On my dad's side, I am working on the Feiertag (original spelling)/Feirtag, and the Blossom's. I have traced the Blossom's back to 1475. They are relatively easy as they are of the Leiden, Holland pilgrims and much has been written. Rev John Robinson is also one of my direct ancestors.

The Feiertag side is all but impossible! I have only been able to go back to 1880. They are from Russian-Poland (which has been blown up a few times). Add to that the changes in spelling by those recording ship manifests plus the individual changing the spelling. Half of my great aunts and uncles use the original spelling, the other half doesn't.

On my mom's side, I am working on the Root/Porter side. On the Root side, I have traced them to the late 1500's. On the Porter side, I have only been able to go back to 1875. They are from England and Germany. Much has been lost because of the wars.

The memorials that I have created, I have only used verifiable information. I am willing to transfer the memorials that I manage that are not members of my family unless you are a direct descendant.
