Bio

I currently live in Rogers, AR area since 1987 when my folks moved to the county where the Johnston family came back in 1834. My 2nd great grandmother, Catharine Johnston Lee family had split, some to Arkansas and the rest stayed in Kentucky.

My side of the Johnstons did come west in 1880s. They found themselves in Carrollton, Carroll county, MO. They settled down with 4 of their children, the Lee's, Gregory's, Trevitts, Roses.

I was born in Carrollton with my family who raised my mother. We lived next door to Dr Bales and when my dad called for help, dad could hear Dr and Mrs Bales talking since it was so hot and everyone had their windows open. Needless to say, 4 days of hard labor and I came into this world. (Mom never let me forget how hard she worked to give me life!!!)

Both my parents have seriously looked and found our ancestors. The history they gleaned for 40 years and the 5100 verified family members is sobering and enlightening.

Recently I've begun to honor my family by contributing to the Findagrave site memorials. I have so much history to add to these memorials. This history is the life work of my parents. The last thing they told me before their deaths was to keep the family genealogy alive.
