Like so many others who choose to do genealogy, I'm interested in knowing how my relatives chose to come to America and align their stories with historical events such as the Irish famine. I'm pulling together an historical perspective for my grandchildren as well as cousins. My elder family members, who could related information, have died and I want to capture what is possible now for future generations.
