Another surname I am researching is DUNN (my paternal grandfather's biological family) from Iowa/ Minnesota/South Dakota area. His adoptive parents' were Patrick & Mary (Van Wagenen) McCarty from Rock Rapids, Iowa. My grandfather (James Ferdinand) was born in 1901; in St. Paul, Minnesota... then taken to an orphanage a couple years later. He was adopted by the McCarty's in 1903. Any information will be appreciated.
