Bio

I live in the small village of Etchingham in East Sussex, England.
Recently partly retired I am now spending a bit of time researching my family history, and find myself helping friends with their research.
Locating graves can be a great help in the research, so joining and contributing to Find A Grave will hopefully help others as well as me in that research.
My local cemetery is The Church of the Assumption of Blessed Mary and St. Nicholas, Etchingham, if you are looking for a grave in Etchingham not listed on Find A Grave, I will do my best to locate it for you.
My other local places in Sussex are Hurst Green, Burwash, Ticehurst, Wadhurst and Stonegate.

I have my own way of recording the memorials in my local cemeteries, when time and weather suit I spend an hour in one of them and record the detail from those that are easy to read, and photograph each one, working methodically round the site. I intend going back to the ones less easy to read, and therefore more time consuming, at a later date.
I add this basic detail and photo to Find A grave, I can then research family connections and bio info and add later.

If you have any verifiable detail to add to any of the memorials I have added, please contact me, I will happily add any details that can be verified as accurate.
