I was out on a hike one afternoon when I came upon a very old, small burial site, fenced in, but clearly abandoned. There are so many of them around, and they have always tugged on my heart strings. I became so distraught at the idea of these lost loved ones having no one care for their burial sites. At that moment, I decided I wanted to do more for the deceased whose sites have been overgrown and remain uncared for.

I researched "becoming a caretaker" for cemeteries and burial sites, and wound up finding Find A Grave.

Since then, I have been learning about my own ancestry (I was adopted at birth), and I find myself very intrigued by genealogy, history, ancestry, etc.
