I started using Find A Grave after I became interested in old cemeteries and markers. I began by trying to search for a marker with my own name on it, just for fun. After finding my father's memorial (which someone else had created), I started using the site as a resource for researching my family tree. I'm glad I did, because I found my grandparents' memorials, and when I contacted the person that created them, found out that she was a distant cousin that I never knew about, and she had immigration papers for my grandparents, that we never new about either!

Since then, I have been helping my mother locate her family, and have had some pretty good success.
