My Uncle was Pvt. Lawrence Bickford, N.H.

He was KIA in WWII in February, 1944. I never met him. Family history has always been sketchy. My family rarely discussed deceased family members.

I learned more about him than I ever knew, from the Find a Grave website. I know that he was raised in "The Dover Children's Home", which was a 1920 orphanage in NH. My Uncle had a very sad, young life and was killed at age 21.

All of my Uncles served in WWII, only Lawrence perished. Thank you for finding him and for preserving his memory. I keep him in my heart, even though we had never met. RIP, Uncle Larry.
