Born in Union County, NC, I grew up on the family farm in the New Salem community. Family, education, music,and teaching were primary interests and continue in various ways in retirement.

Though basically new to Find A Grave I have been interested in genealogy all of my life thanks to my parents and relatives on both sides of my family. I have been reviewing my relative's records and edited as needed to keep them as accurate as possible.
