Bio

My ancestors have been into researching and recording genealogy since the colonial days. When my father passed away, he left me thousands of pages of genealogy records, that his father, Robert M. French, genealogist and Town Historian for the Town of Pike, NY for many years, had left him.

When my mother-n-law passed away, I received hundreds of new names and info about my wife's ancestors, to add to the collection.

Now that I am retired, I have been entering all of the data into the computer. After several people contacted me about info that my grandfather had collected, I decided to share the info through Find A Grave.

Most of the info that I have centers on families that originated in England, Scotland, or Ireland, and came to the New England states, or New Jersey during the colonial days. These families then migrated to Western New York, Western Pennsylvania,West Virginia, and then west. I also have discovered that a number of my and my wife's ancestors were among the Palantine Germans who came to Eastern and Central New York State in the early 1800s.
