I am fascinated with the history of all of our ancestors. It is amazing to see how much information the headstones provide about them. I have been doing genealogy for about 6 years now, and it is so interesting to find out things about my ancestors that I never knew. I wish I had been this interested as a kid, I could have asked my grandparents all kinds of things! I am lucky that my uncles and my father are all still alive and able to help me fill in the blanks. My volunteer work for Find A Grave is my way to thank all of those who have created memorials in the past, and pay it forward to those starting on their path to discovering their ancestors.
