I have been interested in, and working on, my family's ancestry and creating a large genealogy file for several years now. I currently reside in Pearland, Brazoria County, Texas, just south of Houston. However, I am originally from Cotton Valley, Webster Parish, Louisiana, and travel home frequently. I love visiting cemeteries and photographing tombstones, statutes, graves, etc. One of the oldest cemeteries I know, with ancestors buried there, no longer has the tombstones I once sat by as a child. Weather, vandals, and time have taken them, and I find that very sad. So I enjoy capturing moments in time and documenting tombstones.I work a full time job and am a single mother, so my time is very limited. However, I will travel and photograph tombstones in my spare time, mostly on weekends, if it is within a few hours of my home, or back home, if I'm going there for a visit.
