I have many ancestors on both sides of family that came over from Europe (primarily England) in the 16th & 17th century. Thus, I have numerous ancestors from New England and there was migration to upstate NY in the 1800's. The grand-parents of my wife were all born in Russia, so I think our descendants have an enlightening mix of recent immigrants and colonial immigrants in their ancestry background.
