Bio

Just starting in on cleaning up mistakes in Find A Grave now that I am retired and have the time. There will be numerous requests for corrections as parents, spouses and siblings are moved around to correct errors and add vital info.

I am trying to add correct birth and death information, including places, links to parents and spouses and children (and photos when possible). Sometimes the stone just has the years (i.e. 1876-1947). If I can find the birth or death dates on Ancestry, I like to add that information, too. ~~~

I try to find obituaries, then add links to other family members. In placing obituaries on the memorial page, I am attempting to provide families and researchers with additional information about the individual. Obituaries published in newspapers are in the public domain and as such, anyone can legally post an obituary and its photo. There are no copyrights unless noted in the obituary. ~~~

THE STORY TELLERS
We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve.
Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the story tellers of the tribe.
