Bio

I have always had an interest in visiting cemeteries, in search of my ancestors.. perhaps because as a child my parents would frequently visit grave sites of relatives to place flowers, and sometimes take yard tools in order to clean and keep the grave sites looking nice...
My grandfather A.C. Sosebee is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel Texas, he died in 1947 before I was born. He was the first to be buried in our Sosebee family plot, was joined about 30 years later by my grandmother, next was my dad in 1992, an uncle in 1993, my sister in 2004, my mom in 2007, and another sister in 2018...
I never mind going to visit cemeteries, as some people do. It bothers me to see gravesites that seem to be overlooked and forgotten...for this reason, I have an interest in trying to preserve memories of my ancestors that I never knew, as well as strangers that I only know by seeing their headstones in the cemeteries that I visit.
Sometimes I search by names just to learn more about the history of these unknown people.
