I've been using Find A Grave for quite some time to assist me in my genealogy research, but have only been a member since 2013. My maternal grandpa's passing this past December inspired me to take on a more active role as a contributer. I appreciate the efforts of everyone in our community to honor those who've gone on before us and to keep their memories alive.

I am actively researching my lineage as well as my husband's. The bulk of our family ties lie in the Great Lakes region (Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana) and the Mid-Atlantic area (Pennsylvania, New York, and Maryland), with some outliers in Virginia and Texas. Surnames in our trees include:
