I happened on Find a grave when I searched my mother's name on a lark. At first I was stunned to find her and my father's pictures! Then I realized that the information for my father's parents was incorrect. He hails from Sikes, La. In an effort to get that corrected, I ended up taking over his memorial... and was summarily launched on a search for info on my father's side of the family.

I'm still searching for my grandmother on his side. Her name as we know it is Mattie Coates, White, Richardson, Kirby. A search in Ouchita Parrish on find a grave yields nothing. If you live in the Winn (Sikes/Jonesboro) area or West Monroe area... and knew or know of a grave stone for my grand mother... please contact me.
