Bio

I am a Registered Nurse, Certified in Oncology and basically administered chemotherapy through the vein all day. Loved the job, but it took a toll on my body and I got sick with an Autoimmune disease called Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. I had to quit working in 2015 and since then my disease has progressed. Walking around graveyards will give me a chance to get some exercise, some fresh air and enjoy the peace I've always felt in graveyards. I started going with my grandparents when I was very young, the church had cemetery cleanup days and all the interred ancestors would have a family representative. I think it's an awesome way to honor your ancestors. When I started working with my own family tree, this just evolved naturally and our Old City Historical cemetery is behind my house, in a wooded area, about 8-10 acres; it needs so much love and care. Old City Cemetery, South Pittsburg, Tennessee has most of the founding forefathers of South Pittsburg. It's difficult to work in during the summer and spring months due to insects (mostly) TICKS, mosquitoes, SNAKES and vines, THORNS and bushy overgrowth. Most graves are sunken in over the years, tombstones broken, fallen or missing. There is a large amount of unmarked graves and some just have a simple rock placed. It's in bad shape, but I remember what is was and I still feel so peaceful out there. The Energy is spectacular, I love that place.
