I have been doing genealogy for over 30 years. My mom was doing it way before me, before computers and internet. She would actually write to people to get info and drive to Village Clerk Offices and libraries in her home state of Pennsylvania (from KY where she lived) looking for connections. She kept file folders in boxes all labeled with the family lines and full of handwritten notes. She eventually got a computer and did research on Family Search, etc. I inherited all her boxes of research. I have been an Ancestry member for many, many years where I do most of my work. I have multiple trees on Ancestry. I love busting brick walls and finding missing pieces to the puzzle!
