I was born in Birmingham, AL and raised in Bessemer. I became interested in genealogy because my maternal grandfather always said he was raised on an "Indian reservation" and that his mother was "full-blooded." I'm still working to substantiate that and I feel it could be part true. I didn't do much with genealogy because I am direct descendants from Browns and Joneses and that's hard to work with. But then I married a Ledingham and I had something easier to work with. I've connected with great folks in the past and hope to do more.
