Peggy became interested in genealogy when asked to write her church's heritage book. Since then she has written and self-published her family heritage and history book which includes all relatives, living and deceased, that she could find. Her book "Whispers From The Past" includes ancestry information on many families including Ellis, Whaley, Early, Tucker, Keeler, Burchfiel, Fox, Brimer, Derrick, Dunkelberger, and many others. There are pictures, deeds, wills, and many documents including service records. Because of this research, Peggy was able to trace her ancestry back many years on both mother and father's lineage. She has joined several historical societies. She is still searching for her Early (Earley) ancestors.
Peggy's husband Leo Jackson Whaley, Mother and step-father - Pauline Early Ellis Gee and Edward Luther Gee are buried at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Blue Springs Rd, Cleveland, Tennessee.
