Bio
Youngest son of Paul (None) and Hope C. (Gunder) Yaros. From Gary (Lake Co.), Indiana. Family plots are located in Calumet Park Cemetery in Merillville (Lake Co.), Indiana.

Our paternal grandfather [John (None) Yaros] came to Pennsylvania from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Presov Region of Slovakia, in the early 1900's. He had sisters living in Bradford (McKean Co.), PA. Eventually, he ended up in the steel mills in Gary, IN. His sons, grandsons, and great grandchildren followed him into the Gary steel mills.
His first wife, Anna Pavlo, and his 4th newborn son died in the great flu pandemic of 1918. They are buried together in a common grave in Oak Hill Cemetery in Gary (Lake Co.), IN.
John and his second wife, Susana Lipps are buried in Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville (Lake, Co.), IN
His grandson, Paul Louis Yaros (my eldest brother) enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1958, and never returned to Gary. He is responsible for the Gary Yaros branch now established in southern CA. It consists of him and my cousin John D., and their offspring.
