I have been doing genealogy since 1981 and pretty much have all my family done that were in the US. They all settled in the Chicago area. I currently live in Darien, Il just outside the city of Chicago.
I like putting families together on Find A Grave and helping others when I can. I am retired now so I have more time. I have Ancestry and newspapers.com. Researching now is so much easier than it used to be.
Whenever I visit a cemetery for any of my own research I try to help others by taking pictures of nearby graves and fulfilling requests that are located in the same section I am working on.
I feel it is important for people to get the grave location before putting in a request.
