Bio

I have been researching genealogy as a hobby since 2011 and have been quite successful in finding additional factual information about my family on many of the branches of our family tree.

I'm fortunate to have a paternal grandmother who was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) with seven patriot ancestors, and my father who belonged to the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) with fourteen patriots on his fathers side who fought for the colonies during the Revolutionary War. Six of my dads founding ancestors landed at Plymouth, MA, beginning with the ship Fortune in October 1621, and then followed by the Little James and Anne to celebrate the First Thanksgiving in 1623, which followed the initial arrival of the Mayflower ship.

Three of my mothers ancestors where survivors at the Jamestown settlement (Jordans Point, Prince George, Virginia) with the departure of the ship Sea Venture from Plymouth, England, on 8 Jun 1609. One of her ancestors served during the American Revolutionary War.

I am currently a member of the National Society of the SAR, a member of the Society of the Order of the Founders and Patriots of America (OFPA), the St. Andrews Society, and a member of the Society of the War of 1812. Surnames I am researching include: Adams, Berndt, Bierley, Boyd, Connell, Dalton, Eagon, Freed, Huston, Jordan, Key, Leonard, Mendel, Palmer, Reeves, and Varner.
