Bio

A few years ago, I participated in the Genographic Project. The DNA results seemed to cry out for an accompanying family tree. I had been tucking away bits and pieces of family history for decades and decided to collect all this data into one tree.

I immediately fell in love with genealogy. For a lifelong history buff, it was a natural fit. Given the work of those before me and the resources now available on the Internet, the rewards came quickly. It is a joy to get to know my ancestors and to appreciate how they led their lives. I am becoming a member of my tribe and making a lasting memorial to my family. I also find great pleasure in participating in a community of living people on the same quest as mine.

My ancestors give me an interesting mix of experiences, being one-half Bohemian, one-quarter Montenegrin, and one-quarter Welsh, French, Scottish. For the most part, my forebears were hard-working citizens, from farmers to coal miners. A few were Vikings and pioneers, kings and queens, warriors and cowboys. After four years, there is still much for me to discover.
