Bio

I'm a retired professional from the world of banking and finance now enjoying a fantastic 2nd career as a graduate student. I'm now a Ph.D. candidate in the History Department at The Ohio State University, working on a dissertation that explores mortgage lending in rural Ohio during the middle antebellum years. I'm also a lifelong genealogist, and it is exciting to tap into resources like this that certainly didn't exist when I first got 'hooked' 30+ years ago. Some things never change, and even with all the new tools and access to vast databases, it is great to realize that genealogists are still the most friendly and collaborative people in the world!!
