My name is Kiel (pronounced "Kyle") and I've been doing genealogy since 2009. You may see me from time-to-time on FindAGrave.com posting under my personal account. I use that account to manage my own family's memorials and I have created this account when I take volunteer photos and transcribe cemeteries.
Why do I volunteer? Quite simple, in my own genealogy research I have found it difficult to find some of my family and ancestors. Transcribing cemeteries and taking photographs are valuable at documenting where people are buried and it provides vital information such as dates of birth, death, and sometimes marriage dates.
If I've added someone and you would like to manage their memorial page, please send me a request and I will gladly transfer their memorial to you. Those of you who work hard at adding additional information to memorials (like obituaries and photos), thank you! You are providing a valuable service to future generations of genealogists!
