I live in Brunswick,MD Frederick County) but am California native. My mother's maternal side of the family came from Tennessee (via Switzerland and then Fredricksburg,VA.) My mother's paternal side came from Ireland in 1619 through Chesapeake Bay, Three brothers (named Collins)...one went north toward Cumberland then on to Iowa, one went south to Frederick,MD and then Loudoun County,VA and one returned to Ireland to home in Cork City, County Cork. The Collins continued to marry Irish and my mother and some of her cousins in Iowa are last of the Collins. The brother on my grandmother's side who came through the MD area was Jacob Foucks/Fouck/and then later Fudge. Name changes during the Civil War. There's a large cemetery of Fudges in Breedsville, TN.but there are land records, etc when the Foucks were in Frederick County area.
