I have been interested in genealogy research since I was in my early teens when my older brother, who was researching my father's family, would take me with him to libraries, courthouses and cemeteries. I am amazed by how much the internet has changed and sped up the process...remember getting dizzy from scrolling microfilm? I am currently concentrating my research on my mother's family from N.Y., New Jersey area and many of whom immigrated from Ireland, England, Scotland and perhaps Germany. These family names are Lines (or Lyons), England, McKenzie (or variations of that spelling), Boyce and Earl.
